SitScape was proud to exhibit at the 2012 Virginia Emergency Management Symposium where we generated much interest among senior emergency managers for our next generation Situational Awareness and Collaboration platform and our unique ability to create common operating pictures on the fly and to collaborate real time with team members both on the scene and back in the operations center.
The Virginia Emergency Management Symposium is sponsored by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and the Virginia Emergency Management Association. Held on March 28 – 30, 2012 at the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa, is attended by Senior Emergency Managers representing state, federal, and local governments, hospitals, universities and power companies.
This year’s theme, ‘Don’t fail the Mission’ focused on the most diversified types of events to have directly impacted Virginia since the establishment of professional emergency management. Most notable, it explored the response to Virginia’s earthquake across multiple disciplines such as power and schools addressing 2012 events including: the Caroline County Bus Accident, Private Sector Support, and Cyber terrorism as well as Legal Concerns for Emergency Managers and Social Media.
